Terms of use
Version of 5 Nov 2026.
1. Who we are
Rentally is run by Chanvis Solutions OPC Private Limited, India ("we"). By using Rentally you agree to these terms.
2. What Rentally is, and isn't
Rentally is a tool for owners and tenants to record a tenancy: its terms, agreement, rent, bills, repairs, checklists, deposit and reviews.
We are not a party to your tenancy or agreement, and we are not a broker, agent, lawyer or advisor.
We don't check that anyone owns the home they list, that people are who they say they are, or that an agreement is legally valid, unless a feature clearly says so.
3. Agreements
Agreement templates are a starting point, not legal advice. They may not suit your situation.
You are responsible for the agreement you sign: reading it, getting legal advice if you need it, paying stamp duty, signing with witnesses and registering it where the law requires. Rentally doesn't stamp, notarise or register agreements.
4. Disputes between owners and tenants
Rentally records what each of you says and confirms, including disagreements. It never decides who is right.
We are not responsible for any dispute, loss, damage, unpaid rent, deposit or other claim between owners and tenants, or between you and anyone else you meet through Rentally.
For a dispute, talk to the other person first, and to a lawyer if you can't settle it.
5. Money
Rentally never holds or moves your money. Rent, bills and deposits go straight between you, for example by UPI. Marking a payment as paid or confirmed is your own record, not proof from a bank.
6. The AI assistant
The assistant explains your agreement and records. It can be wrong or incomplete, and it is not legal advice. Check anything important yourself or with a lawyer.
7. What you agree to do
Enter only true information about yourself, your homes and your tenancies.
Don't create fake tenancies, reviews or accounts, pretend to be someone else, or use other people's details without their permission.
Don't use Rentally to harass anyone or for anything unlawful.
We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and remove content that does.
8. Reviews and rental history
Reviews are structured answers, shown as described in the app. Facts the two sides answer differently are shown as disputed.
Records you share with someone else on a tenancy (the agreement, rent, bills, repairs, checklists, the deposit and reviews) stay available to them even if you delete your account, so either of you has them if a disagreement or legal claim comes up. Your name is replaced with "Deleted", except in the agreement itself, which is kept as it was signed.
We keep a tenancy and its records for 3 years after the tenancy ends, then delete them.
9. Your data
We use your details to run Rentally: to show your tenancies to the other person on them, to send notifications, and to build your rental history. Your phone, email, address and ID numbers are never shown on your public profile.
You can download or delete your data in Profile & settings. The privacy policy explains in detail what we collect and why.
10. No guarantee, and limits
Rentally is provided as it is. We try to keep it running and accurate, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything arising from your dealings with other users.
11. Changes and law
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction.
